Drummathon 2023 Recap

Drummathon 2023 in association with Grandscape and Roland, will be... drum roll please... October 22, 2023 at Grandscape in The Colony, TX (25 miles north of downtown Dallas). This is the third year it will be held at this thriving entertainment district in October, which also happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Grandscape sees over 8 million visitors per year!

Drummers, musicians, and friends come together from all over the world to raise funds through their own online fundraising page to fight against breast cancer. The day of the event will feature live music interspersed with drum solos, as well as solos by some of the top celebrity rock star drummers - with a chance to drum alongside the rock stars! Simultaneously, attendees to this free family-friendly event can relax on the lawn or visit shops, restaurants, vendor booths, and autograph booths as well as browse our "touchless bid" silent auctions and our Official Merchandise. There will even be opportunities to snap a picture with our celebrity guests on the "pink" carpet. While at the show, MC's will be throwing out an array of giveaways from our amazing sponsors.

As always, Drummathon is FREE to attend and FREE to register to fundraise, and you don't have to be a drummer to join in on the fun - anyone can register and fundraise! This is your chance to release your inner drummer!

The top 25 fundraisers ($250 minimum) by October 8, 2023 at 7p CT will receive:

1. A slot for the opportunity to play a timed drum solo at the event. NOTE: If you are one of the top 25 fundraisers, you can choose to accept or decline your drum solo spot. (Non-drummers, this is your chance to Release Your Inner Drummer!)
2. A goody bag full of freebies

4. Drummathon 2023 drumsticks
5. Drummathon 2023 medal

In addition to the above prizes, the top THREE fundraisers ($250 raised minimum) by October 8, 2023 at 7 p.m. CT will win:

1. A 1st, 2nd or 3rd place trophy or plaque
2. Hundreds of dollars worth of amazing prizes from our sponsors. NEW this year: In "Part 2" of your registration (see the email after you register!) you have the choice of a drummer prize pack or a non-drummer prize pack. Drummers and non-drummers alike can win BIG! (If you can't attend in person, we will ship right to your door!)

Last, new this year are opportunities to fundraise and qualify to be entered into one of two fantastic drawings!

1. 3-night all inclusive stay at Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana: To qualify, you must be 18 or older and raise over $2,500
2. Pacific Drumset (refurbished - see pic): To qualify, you must be 17 or under and raise over $1,00

All funds raised at Drummathon go towards mammograms, financial assistance for breast cancer treatment, and for breast cancer research and trials.

What is Drummathon?

Drummathon is an annual family-friendly fundraising event that brings together the drumming community (of all skill sets and ages) for one common goal: to fight breast cancer.

As Drummathon works to fight breast cancer, it is also a celebration of life, music, and passion! Top fundraising drummers have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of family, friends and attendees! The event also features auctions, Official Breast Cancer Can Stick It! merchandise and Drummathon gear, along with some great musical guests throughout the event. It's fun for the whole family! Leading up to the event, drummers, musicians, and friends alike raise funds online to compete for a plethora of awesome prizes.

The 2015 inaugural event was hosted by Dan Shinder of Drum Talk TV and featured rock star royalty; drummers Carmine Appice (Ozzy, Rod Stewart, Ted Nugent), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven & Hell), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Bang Tango, Mr. Big). Since that time, the celebrity alumni list has grown exponentially.
