Drummathon 2021 Recap

Our 7th Annual Drummathon was our first ever to be held at Grandscape in The Colony, TX. The event featured several notable changes including sound and giant video screens courtesy of Grandscape, raffles replaced with the opportunity to donate into two different clear drums, a later start of noon as opposed to 10:00 a.m., and finally, touchless eBay auctions. These auctions made it possible for bidders to scan QR codes to bid and get alerts on their phones if they were outbid, allowing to opportunity to increase their bid from whereever they are - plus people unable to attend in person could also bid online! As a result of these changes coupled with a great line up, we experienced record breaking day of fundrasing! Our normal funds raised are on average around $10,000 (with the previous record being around $12,000). This year we raised $18,000 the day of which added to online fundraiging brought the over all total to $51,886. It was our fourth straight year to meet and "BEAT!" our $50,000 goal! Thank you to all the fundraisers, sponsors, donors, volunteers and supporters for helping make Drummathon 2021 a huge success! Below are all the details from Drummathon 2021.

Grandscape presents, Drummathon 2021! Drummathon 2021 will be...drum roll please...October 3, 2021 at Grandscape in The Colony, TX (25 miles north of downtown Dallas). It's the perfect way to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Grandscape is a new (and very large!) outdoor venue. The stage and lawn at Grandscape sit center to many shops, restaurants and even hotels (discounted rates coming soon!) in a prime and thriving area of North Dallas. Grandscape sees over 8 million visitors per year!

Drummers, musicians, and friends come together from all over the world to raise funds through their own online fundraising page to fight against breast cancer. The day of the event will feature live music interspersed with drum solos as well as solos by some of the top celebrity rock star drummers - with a chance to drum alongside the rock stars! Simultaneously, attendees to this free family-friendly event can relax on the lawn or visit shops, restaurants, vendor booths, and autograph booths as well as browse our "touchless bid" silent auctions and our Official Merchandise. There will even be opportunities to snap a picture with our celebrity guests. While at the show, MC's will be throwing out an array of giveaways from our amazing sponsors.

As always, Drummathon is FREE to attend and FREE to register, and you don't have to be a drummer to join in on the fun - anyone can register and fundraise!

The top 25 fundraisers ($250 minimum) by September 19, 2021 at 7p CT will receive:

A slot for their opportunity to play a timed drum solo at the event. NOTE: If you are one of the 25 fundraisers and are not a drummer, you will not be required to play a solo.

In addition to the above prizes, the top THREE fundraisers ($250 raised minimum) by September 19, 2021 at 7 p.m. CST will win:

A 1st, 2nd or 3rd place trophy or plaque
Hundreds of dollars worth of amazing prizes from our sponsors (if you can't attend in person, we will ship right to your door!)

All funds raised go towards mammograms, financial assistance for breast cancer treatment, and for breast cancer research and trials.

Our auctions for Drummathon 2021 will be held in person AND via the Official Breast Cancer Can Stick It! eBay store. This means even if you can't attend, you can bid on amazing items from the comfort of your own home! (If bidding online, please note that most items can be shipped, however, some items will be marked for "Local Pick Up Only"). For those attending Drummathon 2021, you can see most items in person and touchless bid on any item via eBay from your mobile device at the event! Don't worry, Grandscape is equipped with multiple charging stations throughout the property, so you can ensure to put in that winning bid! Auctions will open online about a week prior to the show and end towards the end of Drummathon on October 3, at 6:00 p.m. CT. Once the auctions go live on eBay, check each auction item for exact end dates and times.

WARRIOR DRUM
The drum honoring/memorializing your favorite cancer warriors will be available at Drummathon 2021 at Grandscape in The Colony, TX on October 3, 2021. You'll be able to take photos with the drum, plus the drum is NOW in our touchless eBay auction (bid online!) - you have the potential to win it and take it home!

What is the Drummathon?

Drummathon is an annual family-friendly fundraising event that brings together the drumming community (of all skillsets and ages) for one common goal: to fight breast cancer.

As Drummathon works to fight breast cancer, it is also a celebration of life, music, and passion! Top fundraising drummers have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of family, friends and attendees on a global stage! The event also features auctions, sales of Official Breast Cancer Can Stick It! merchandise and Drummathon gear, with some great musical guests sprinkled throughout the event. It's fun for the whole family! Leading up to the event, drummers, musicians, and friends alike raise funds online to compete for a plethora of awesome prizes.

The 2015 inaugural event was hosted by Dan Shinder of Drum Talk TV and kicked off right with rock star drummers Carmine Appice (Ozzy, Rod Stewart, Ted Nugent), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven & Hell), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Bang Tango, Mr. Big). Since that time, the celebrity alumni list has grown exponentially.
