Drummathon 2019 is...drum roll please...OCTOBER 6, 2019!

You heard it right! We will be holding Drummathon 2019 on the first Sunday in October, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Mark your calendars now.

Drummathon is FREE to attend and FREE to register, and you don't have to be a drummer to join in on the fun - anyone can register and fund raise! The top 35 fundraisers ($250 minimum) by September 26, 2019 at 7p CT will 1) win the opportunity to play a timed solo the day of the event, 2) receive a goody bag, and a 3) Drummathon 2019 t-shirt. The top three fundraisers will win additional prizes!

For every $20 raised, registrants attending the event will get a raffle ticket in their goodie bag. At the event on October 6, registrants will have the opportunity to write their name on their ticket, then tear off their raffle tickets and deposit into the bucket for the raffles of their choice, on display at the event.

The day of the event will feature live music interspersed with drum solos as well as solos by some of the top celebrity rock star drummers - with a chance to drum alongside the rock stars! Simultaneously, attendees to this free family-friendly event can visit food trucks, vendor booths, and autograph booths as well as browse and sign up for silent auctions and raffles. While at the show, MC's will even throw out an array of giveaways.

Registration opens on May 14, 2019 at 12:01a CT and runs through September 26, 2019 at 7p CT. Mark your calendars so that you can maximize your fundraising and ensure your spot, behind the kit, center stage at Drummathon 2019! Register today!

TOP FUNDRAISERS - THE FINE PRINT:
If you are one of the top 35 fundraising drummers, your assigned slot could be anytime between 10a-7p CT on the day of the event. You will be notified during the week prior to the event of your time slot. **We are unable to modify the schedule or accommodate requests.*** The person who raises the most funds will go on at the latest drummer slot and slots will be filled backwards from there. Additionally, we are unable to accommodate tracks or music accompaniment for top fundraising drummers. Bands, your slot will be 30 minutes and will be the first band slot of the day. Your drummer will have the option of playing one of the two provided drum kits. The bass rig will also be backlined. We will have guitar amps available as well, but you may bring your own.

NEW THIS YEAR:

1. Drummathon Weekly Fundraising Challenge! Challenges run each week from 7pm CT Sunday, through 7pm CT Saturday for Drummathon fundraisers who 1) have raised at least $100 and 2) are part of our Drummathon 2019 Team Members Facebook Group. Already raised $100 on your page? Join the Drummathon 2019 Team Members Facebook Group so you can compete in this week's challenge!
2. Warrior Drum! Pay tribute to your favorite cancer warrior by having their name placed on this special Warrior Drum! The drum will be available at Drummathon 2019 at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas on October 6, 2019. You'll be able to take photos with the drum, and the drum will also be on our auction table, with the potential for you to win it and take it home! For every $10 you donate, you may specify one name to be placed on the drum.
3. T-Shirt Design Contest! We are looking for a design for the front of our Drummathon 2019 t-shirts and want YOUR help! If you are a designer, or have a friend that is a designer, email info@breastcancercanstickit.org with the subject:

What is the Drummathon?

Drummathon is an annual family-friendly fundraising event set in a festival atmosphere that brings together the drumming community (of all skillsets and ages) for one common goal: to fight breast cancer.

As Drummathon works to fight breast cancer, it is also a celebration of life, music, and passion! Registered drummers for the event showcase their talent in front of family, friends and attendees during a timed drum solo, and then later, drummers and attendees have the opportunity to play on a kit alongside the celebrity drummers. Drummers will be playing on one of the two available Official custom Breast Cancer Can Stick It! drum sets designed by Rockett Drum Works. Participants and attendees to this open-to-the-public, free event will also have multiple opportunities to visit the celebrity rock stars at the autograph booth and snap pictures. The event also features silent auctions, raffles, games and vendor booths all while sprinkled with some great music from local rock bands. It's fun for the whole family, even your dogs! Leading up to the event, drummers, musicians, and friends alike will register to raise funds online to compete for a plethora of awesome prizes.

The 2015 inaugural event was hosted by Dan Shinder of Drum Talk TV and kicked off right with rock star drummers Carmine Appice (Ozzy, Rod Stewart, Ted Nugent), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio, Heaven & Hell), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Bang Tango, Mr. Big). Since that time, the celebrity alumni list has grown to 13 rockstars, growing each year.

The Drummathon is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drum alongside role models of rock 'n roll and help eradicate breast cancer at the same time -- an experience that can't be beat!
